Boutique West Coast Rentals in North Vancouver’s Marine Drive District
The Lloyd is a four-storey, wood-framed rental residence located at 1060 Churchill Crescent, at the corner of Lloyd Avenue and Churchill Crescent, one block south of Marine Drive in the revitalized Marine Drive District of North Vancouver. Offering spacious 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, The Lloyd was conceived to reflect West Coast living: pet-friendly units, in-suite amenities including air conditioning and in-unit laundry, and outdoor patios, terraces or private rooftop decks. The building connects residents to North Shore lifestyle, a balance of natural surroundings, convenient transit access, and community-oriented urban living.

The Scope
Sky Windows was retained as the commercial glazing contractor for The Lloyd. The scope of work included installation of full exterior curtain walls, exterior glass storefront systems, aluminum doors, and a glass canopy. Because the building is a mid-rise wood-framed residential building rather than a high-rise tower, the glazing design had to integrate with wood-frame structural systems while delivering modern, clean aesthetic that aligns with contemporary West Coast architecture. The work featured curtain-wall assemblies that provide ample natural light and visual connection to the surrounding neighbourhood, storefront systems for any ground-level common or amenity spaces, and durable aluminum entry doors and canopy, ensuring weather resistance and longevity in coastal climate.
The Outcome
The project was completed in April 2021. The Lloyd now stands as a modern, well-appointed rental building, offering high-quality apartment homes with contemporary amenities. The glazing work contributes to a bright, open, and visually appealing building envelope, supporting the West Coast aesthetic and delivering a comfortable living environment for residents. The development enhances the residential inventory in the Marine Drive District, offering pet-friendly, amenity-rich rental options in a walkable, transit-accessible location.
