Formerly known as the South Burnaby Arena, the Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre is a modern, multi-sport facility serving the Edmonds Town Centre area. The centre features twin ice rinks with 411 spectator seats, a skate shop, a concession, offices, multi-purpose rooms, and a rooftop patio—all designed to support inclusive community use.

Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre
Sky Windows provided comprehensive glazing solutions for the Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre in Burnaby, a multi-use arena and recreation facility featuring two NHL-sized ice rinks, community spaces, and public amenities.

The Scope
Sky Windows delivered a range of glass and aluminum systems across both the interior and exterior of the facility. The team installed all exterior aluminum curtain walls, all interior glass for rink, office, and washroom spaces, and 20mm laminated structural glass walls. Additional scope included Assa Abloy sliding glass entries and vestibules, aluminum doors for rink access from change rooms and administrative areas, laminated glass guardrails into steel handrails for rinkside seating and stands, and exterior aluminum Phantom Glass doors. We also provided aluminum custom-shaped and sloped sunshades on the exterior of the curtain walls.
The Outcome
The completed work showcases Sky Windows’ ability to manage diverse glazing systems across functional and architectural applications. From structural safety to aesthetic integration, the delivered scope contributes to the facility’s durability, transparency, and user-focused design.
