Project Intro
Porthaven is a new development located in the emerging community of downtown Port Coquitlam. Featuring 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units in a six-storey building with ground-level retail, this property is perfectly situated for residents to take advantage of the area's amenities — including BC's second-largest community centre and a TransLink bus depot currently undergoing a $31 million expansion. Sky Windows was chosen to provide both exterior and interior glazing solutions for this mixed-use development.
The Scope
Sky Windows is executing the glazing scope of work for Porthaven, including supplying and installing exterior curtain walls, interior storefronts, glass canopies, and aluminum commercial doors. The building's design incorporates timeless brick detail that will complement the sleek, modern glazing systems to achieve an aesthetic that is simultaneously contemporary and approachable.
The Outcome
Though this project is yet to be completed, once finished it will be another stellar example of Sky Windows' extensive scope of capabilities when it comes to mixed-use projects. Simultaneously incorporating classic and modern design elements, Porthaven will undoubtedly lend a timeless quality to the downtown PoCo area for decades to come.
