A Mixed-Use, Community-First Village in Squamish Valley

MTN Village is a visionary master-planned community in Squamish, British Columbia, designed to deliver a wide mix of housing and commercial options in a cohesive, nature-friendly environment. The development will comprise 107 townhomes, 79 condominiums, and 80 purpose-built rental units (22 of which are designated affordable), along with light industrial, retail/commercial space, and a daycare, aimed at creating a complete, walkable neighbourhood that supports families, professionals, and outdoor-lifestyle residents. Its proximity to recreation, transit, and natural surroundings positions MTN Village as a strategic community hub for Squamish and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

The Scope

For MTN Village, Sky Windows has been contracted to handle the commercial glazing work, including exterior curtain walls, storefronts, and aluminum doors with hardware. Given the scale of the development, multiple building types (townhomes, condos, rentals), mixed uses (residential, commercial, light industrial, daycare), the glazing scope supports a variety of façades and building envelopes. The work will need to deliver durable, weather-resistant glazing as well as attractive, high-quality aesthetics to match the community’s West-Coast contemporary design intent and provide longevity in coastal mountain climate.

The Outcome

As a work-in-progress project with completion targeted for 2026, MTN Village is shaping up to become a diverse, vibrant community offering a broad mix of housing types, affordability, commercial and retail amenities, and family-friendly infrastructure including daycare. Once completed, the glazing provided by Sky Windows will help ensure the buildings have a strong, high-performance envelope that supports both comfort and design consistency across the development, contributing to the overall livability, sustainability, and architectural quality of the new neighbourhood.
