FORM is an 11-storey residential tower located at 1558 West 6th Avenue in the heart of the South Granville neighbourhood of Vancouver, BC. The development combines a mid-rise concrete tower housing market condominiums with a podium of two- and three-level townhomes and a small boutique retail component at street level. The design, by Office of McFarlane Biggar Architects + Designers (OMB), aims to deliver refined Westside living that integrates with South Granville’s culture of art, design, and neighbourhood character, while offering a mix of units to suit varied lifestyles.
The Scope
As the appointed glazing contractor, Sky Windows was responsible for the exterior glasswork for the project: the exterior curtain walls, aluminum doors with complete hardware, and aluminum louvers. The work supports the tower’s concrete construction and podium townhome layout, ensuring a durable, weather-resistant, high-performance building envelope that meets Vancouver’s climate demands. The glazing contributes to the architectural vision of clean, contemporary forms, large-format materials, and a high-quality aesthetic appropriate for both a modern concrete tower and townhouse context.
The Outcome
When completed FORM will deliver 51 residential units (condos + townhomes) along with boutique retail at grade, expanding housing choice in South Granville and offering concrete-built, well-glazed homes with modern design and community-oriented living. The work by Sky Windows will provide a robust building envelope that balances durability, design quality, and comfort, contributing to the long-term resilience and architectural character of the building.
